Crab and Winkle way.

The old disused steam railway line cycle route, which runs from Canterbury to Whitstable. This pathway has everything! Beautiful orchards, forest, pasture land and Whitstable’s many pubs and restaurants the other end. About 7 miles.

Café des Amis.

A very good Mexican restaurant, tried and tested. 5 minutes walk from arthouse. They do a 2 course meal with a drink for £12.50 if you eat before 6.

Hidden sculptures.
On the bridge beside Café des Amis, an underwater sculpture by Jason des Caires Taylor. Stand on the bridge and look over into the water.

Beaney Institute

A lovely little gallery, with domestic items mixed with agricultural artefacts and some lovely paintings.

A famous painting by Van Eyck.

Boho.

A café with a lovely quirky atmosphere, the owners are collectors, so great bits and bobs around the place.
